The saying "Wart Pac pałaca, a pałac Paca" is related to the once luxurious palace located just about 20 km from Augustów in Dowspuda.
There, on the banks of the Rospuda River, among park trees, the ruins of the first Neo-Gothic palace in Poland in the pure English Tudor style are hidden.
Today, only a few fragments can be admired, such as the restored portico, one of the corner towers of the main building called the "stork tower," the two-story basement, and part of the palace's.
